Part One

The Beginning

They met on the first day of their college experience, August 28, 1960.  They were roommates at Princeton University.  Their parents stayed and helped them set up their room.  Introductions were made all around, and the sons and their parents all went out to dinner together before the parents left to go to their hotels.  The two young men couldn’t wait to get rid of their folks, and become independent at last.

Both sets of parents were quite wealthy.  Derek Kent’s father was a judge on the Ohio Supreme Court.  He began service on the court after enjoying a successful and lucrative legal career.  The Chief Justice was about to retire, and it was a foregone conclusion that Justice Joseph Kent would be elevated to that position.  Derek was born and bred in Columbus, Ohio.  He had no aspirations to pursue the law as his profession.  He was majoring in finance.  After Princeton, he fully intended on going to The Wharton School of Business to obtain his MBA.

Philip Merchant’s father was a renowned and celebrated surgeon.  He had developed several new surgical techniques, which were now common practice around the world.  He was Chief of Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City.  Philip was born and bred in New York.  He had no aspirations to pursue a career in medicine.  His dream was to be a photo-journalist for a large newspaper or a popular magazine.  After the men were settled in, Philip hung several of his pictures in their room.  Derek was impressed with how professional they were.

The best one, in Derek’s opinion, was taken at a crime scene in New York.  Nobody was aware that Philip was there.  It showed the police taking away a handsome young man in handcuffs.  The picture emphasized the anguish on the young man’s face.

“This guy is homosexual,” Philip said, “and he killed his lover in a jealous rage.  I sold the picture to The New York Times for $500.  That’s what set me on a course to become a photo journalist.”

“If you received cash for this photograph,” Derek said, “then you are officially a professional photo-journalist right now.”  He laughed, and punched Philip on his arm.

Within the first week, the two men became the best of friends.  On the very first night in their dorm room, they confided a lot of personal stuff to each other.  They both lamented the fact that they were still virgins at the ripe old age of eighteen.

“All the girls want a wedding ring on their finger before they’ll put out,” Philip lamented.

“Yeah,” Derek agreed.  “Look,” he continued, “I sleep in my jockey shorts, and I jerk off a lot.  Our room is the only private place we have on the whole campus.  Would you mind if I jerk off at night while you’re in the room?  I don’t want to have to wait until you’re out.”

“It’s fine with me,” Philip said, “but only if you allow me the same privilege.”

“Of course,” Derek answered, and they both had a good laugh.

They didn’t actually jerk off during the first week.  On the eighth night, Philip said, “I’m sorry Derek, but I gotta do it tonight.”

“Not without me doing the same,” Derek said.

Up to now they had been shy with each other.  But that night they slipped out of their jockey shorts, and checked each other out.  They were both about four flaccid inches and cut.  In a few minutes they would discover that they reached about seven inches when aroused.

They masturbated every night for about two weeks, and then a natural progression ensued.  It was a progression that was not new to the world.  It had happened to men and boys for hundreds of years.

1.  One night, they wondered what it would feel like if they did each other.  They did, and they loved it.

2.  Then they wondered if the other’s cum tasted like theirs.  Of course, it did.

3.  Then they wondered if their cum would taste the same if it shot directly into their mouths and was fresh.  They went down on each other, and could not taste any difference, but they did love how savory their cocks were.

4.  Then they wondered what it would feel like to fuck one another.  They didn’t have to wonder long.  They both became near to frenzied at the thought.  They agreed that anal sex was even better than oral.

Neither realized that they were leading a full homosexual life.  In their minds, it was just their special thing.  Derek even had a girlfriend, Millicent.  He saw her every time he went home, and much to Philip’s chagrin, she often visited him.  There was never any sex involved, and Millie stayed at a motel.

When Derek returned after spring break in their final senior year, he told Philip that his parents and Millie’s were planning their wedding for the weekend after he graduated from Wharton.  Philip was devastated.

“You can’t do that,” he cried.  “You’ll be miserable, and you’ll make your wife miserable.  If you have kids, they’ll be miserable too.  I love you, Derek.  Don’t get married.  Let’s spend our lives together.  You can’t deny that you’re gay.”

“We’re not gay,” Derek bellowed.  “We were just having some fun until the real thing came along.  Don’t you want to get married someday?”

“No.  Never.”

“Phil, I don’t want to live a gay life.  It’s too hard.”

“Please,” Philip begged, “give me one last gift.  Let’s tell our parents that we want to take a few days off before entering the real world.”

Derek reluctantly agreed.  “My folks own a summer home in The Poconos,” he said.  “They hardly ever use it.  After graduation, let’s go there for a few days.  We’ll have a blast.”

*****

On the day before graduation, Philip pulled a large framed picture out of his closet.  “It’s a graduation present,” he told Derek.

The picture was about three feet by two feet, and showed Derek in all his naked glory.  Philip had taken it one night when Derek thought that he was only kidding around.  Derek gasped.

“Don’t worry,” Philip said.  “I’ve got wrapping paper and tape.  We’ll wrap it up and put it in the trunk of your car before your folks get here tomorrow.”

“Let’s do it now,” Derek begged, “in case they arrive early.  Now I have to figure out where to hide it.”  He wouldn’t tell Philip, but he intended to destroy it.

They wrapped the photograph, and put it into Derek’s trunk along with two suitcases he had already packed.

Back in their room, they began to have sex for the last time in this room.  Philip didn’t think of it as having sex.  He truly believed that he was making love to Derek. They were basking in the afterglow when Derek said, “Phil I have a request.  I have no brothers, and I’d love for you to be my best man.”

“How can you ask me to do that?  Have you any idea what agony it will be to go to your wedding?  I don’t even think I’ll attend.”

“Please, Phil, I’m begging you.  You’re my best friend.  Besides, the wedding is a year away.  By that time, you’ll be fucking girls.  You might even be engaged.”

“Not very likely,” Phil said, but he was softening.  “Okay, I’ll do it,” he said without any conviction.

Early in the morning, they packed both their cars, so they could make a quick getaway after graduation.  They had told their parents that they were going to spend a few days together before going home.

“After all,” they explained to them.  “We may not see each other again until Derek’s wedding.”  Justice Kent had no problem allowing the boys to use his vacation home.

Following the graduation service, the parents took their sons to a five star restaurant.  After dinner, they went their separate ways.  Philip and Derek drove in tandem.  Philip followed Derek to his family’s country home.

When they arrived at the mountain retreat, they ran to Derek’s bedroom, and made love.  In fact, they made love for four days, until they agreed they had to get home.  Philip was in agony anticipating that these blissful few days would never be repeated.  Derek, on the other hand, never gave it a second thought.

They kissed each other, got into their cars, and drove away in different directions.

During the year that Derek attended Wharton, Philip wrote him constantly.  He begged him not to marry.  He reiterated over and over, how much he loved him.  Derek asked him politely not to write any more.  He intended on going through with the wedding.

Derek could never bring himself to destroy the nude photograph as he had intended to do.  He stored it in a rental locker.  One day, when Millie wasn’t home, he took it out and brought it to the home that he and Millie now shared in Columbus.  He stored it in a deep, dark part of the cellar.  Millie never went down there.

He knew that he should get rid of Philip’s love letters too, but he couldn’t bring himself to destroy them, either.  He kept them in a safe place, and when he moved into his own home, he hid them in his private desk.

Derek became more unhappy with the passage of time.  Even the birth of his son, Michael, did not erase his melancholy.  When Millie wasn’t around, he would retrieve the letters, read them and weep.  Sometimes, he went into his basement.  He unwrapped Philip’s photograph of himself and stared at it.  He could see all of Philip’s love in the picture.  He rewrapped the haunting image and put it back where it was well hidden.

Part Two

The Passing Years

Philip realized his dream of becoming a photo journalist.  In fact, he became world famous.  The pictures he took during The Vietnamese war, and all the mid-east wars which followed, were all over newspapers and magazines.  He had an uncanny talent for capturing the emotions of his subjects.

In addition to his fame as a photo journalist, he supported himself as a portrait photographer.  He was much sought after by actors for his uncanny head shots.  Many of these men were gay, and Philip enjoyed one night stands with some of them, but he never stopped yearning for Derek.  Once, and only once, Derek had to go away on business and he called Philip, who gladly joined him for a few days.

Philip had a heart attack and died in 2009.  He was in his sixty-seventh year.  Derek had broken his heart and it never healed.

*****

Derek and Millie got along well enough.  Millie was frigid.  She never initiated sex and Derek was content with infrequent sex.  One time, when Michael was about four years old, Derek went away for a week on business.  While he was away, Millie bought him a birthday gift.  She thought long and hard about where to hide it until his birthday.  Finally, she decided to hide it in plain sight.  She put it into his roll top desk.  She knew he never went into the desk.  It was just an old fashioned conversation piece.

The desk was practically empty, but in a slot in the rear, she noticed a batch of letters.  She never should have done what she did, but she read the letters, and threw up her lunch.

When Derek came home, she confronted him with the letters.  He never denied loving Philip, and having made love with him.  He swore it was over even though the two men had just spent the week together.  She wanted him to leave the house and she would get a divorce.

“You’re disgusting,” she spat out.

“I don’t want us to divorce,” Derek said.  “I don’t want to scandalize Michael.  I’ll move into the guest room, and I’ll continue to provide for you and Michael.”

Millie thought long and hard about it, and finally consented.  She didn’t want her friends to learn of her shame.  She became paranoid about anyone seeing the letters, and she decided to burn them.

Michael grew up completely oblivious to the rift between his parents.  Like his father, he attended Princeton University, and after graduation, he worked for an up and coming architectural firm.  Michael married, and had one son, Eric.

When Eric was seven years old, Michael and his wife left the boy with his grandparents and went on a European vacation to celebrate their tenth anniversary.  Their plane went down in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  All that was ever found was some debris.  Eric went to live with his grandparents.  It was they who raised him.

He found his grandfather to be very reclusive.  After dinner, he would hole himself up in his room and disappear until the following morning.  But when his grandmother was out of the house, his grandfather couldn’t get enough of hugging and kissing him and telling him how much he loved him.  Eric pretty much loved both his grandparents, but he adored his grandfather.  Derek died one week before Eric left for Princeton.

After Eric graduated from medical school, he continued to live with his grandmother so that he could take care of her.  He was too busy with interning, doing a residency, and then a fellowship in pulmonology, to have time to date anyway.  He kept a secret from his grandmother, Millie.  She was vocally very homophobic, and there was no way he could tell her that he was gay.

Part Three

Derek’s Grandson

One Friday morning, when he was thirty-two years old, Dr. Eric Kent was making rounds in the pulmonology ward of his hospital, and he was reading the chart of a new patient.  The man was suffering badly from bronchitis, and Eric decided to perform a bronchoscopy to relieve his congestion.  He never looked at his patient until he finished reading his chart.  When he did, the good doctor did a double take.  His patient, Daniel Simons, made his heart stop.  He thought he was having a heart attack.  Never before had Eric seen a more handsome man, and one who was such a hunk.  He had to tell himself to control his emotions.

He leaned over Daniel with his stethoscope.  He wanted to determine how badly his lungs were filled with fluid.  He also put a hand on Daniel’s chest and thumped the back of his hand with his other hand.  Daniel kept a straight face, but he started to erect, and Eric knew that he was gay.  He determined to get to know this man better.

“When I finish my rounds,” he told Daniel, “I’ll be back to discuss your treatment with you.”

The patient nodded his head and smiled at the doctor.  His gaydar had already sounded all his whistles.

When Eric returned, he sat down next to Daniel.  Without realizing what he was doing, he took his patient’s hand.  Daniel was pleasantly surprised, but didn’t comment on it.

“First thing Monday morning,” Eric said, “I’ll clean out the fluid in your lungs.  That and antibiotics should have you ship-shape in a couple of days and you’ll be good to go.”

“Are you busy tonight?” Daniel dared ask.

“No.  My dance card is a blank.”

“Then before you go home, would you stop by and visit with me for a while?”

“I’d like that, but I have to see to my aging grandmother.  I’m her only family, and her caregiver,” Eric explained.  “But I promise that I’ll come back after dinner.  I don’t have to abide by visiting hour rules.”

Eric squeezed Daniel’s hand, and the two men smiled at each other.  It was clear to both of them what was happening.  They were very attracted to each other.

Eric let go of Daniel’s hand and said, “I’ll see you later, handsome.  After dinner.”

On the way home, Eric realized that he could no longer live with his grandmother.  He had to get a bachelor pad of his own.  He vowed to broach the subject that evening, and suggest that she move to an assisted living facility.  As if it was planned, he came into the house and found Millie on the kitchen floor.  She had fallen.

“I don’t think anything’s broken,” she informed him.  “It’s just that I couldn’t stand up by myself.  Help me stand, honey.”

“Not until I make sure nothing is broken.”  Eric manipulated all her limbs, and she reported no pain, so he helped her stand.  She took a few tentative steps and declared that she was just fine.

“How long were you on the floor before I got home,” Eric asked.

“About two hours,” she lied.  It was more like five hours.

“Grandma,” Eric said.  His voice was trembling.  “I can’t leave you alone anymore, and I can’t rely on life alert buttons.  We could get an aide for you during the day, but you’d be alone when I go out in the evenings.  I hate to leave you alone when I go out now.”

“What are you trying to say, darling?”

“I’m saying that it’s time to sell this old house, and for you to move into an assisted living facility.  I know just the place.  It’s the best one around.”

He finished by saying, “I’m so sorry, Grandma.”

“Don’t look so distressed.  You’re absolutely right.  I’ve wanted to say something for some time now, but I couldn’t bring myself to voice my concern.”

“Really?  You were actually thinking about it also?”

“I was.  I know that I’m interfering with your social life.”

“What social life?” Eric laughed.”

“I couldn’t make us dinner, so how about taking your old grandma to a nice restaurant.”

“My pleasure,” he smiled at her.  “We can discuss your move at dinner.”

*****

When Eric got to the hospital Monday morning, Daniel was being prepped for surgery.

I’m sorry about the other night,” Eric said.  “My grandmother fell, and I had to take care of her.”

“No problem,” Daniel said, and he started to laugh.

“What’s so funny?”

“You are,” Daniel said.  “I’ve never met a man your age still living with his parents or grandparents.”

“I’m not living with her by choice.  I’m her caregiver,” Eric said belligerently.

“Relax, Doc.  I was just pulling your leg.”

The two men smiled at each other.  “I’ll see you in the surgery,” Eric said.  “It’s a simple procedure.  You may be awake throughout, but if you’re uncomfortable, I’ll give you a mild sedative.”  As he left, he patted Daniel on his shoulder.

After the surgery, Eric made rounds, and then he sat with Daniel.  “What do you do for a living?” Eric asked.

“I’m an architect.”

“No kidding,” Eric smiled, “my dad was an architect.”

“Great, I’d love to meet him.”

“I don’t think so,” Eric looked sad.  “He and my mother died in a plane crash when I was a little boy.  My grandparents raised me, but my grandfather is gone now also.”

“How’s your grandmother doing since her fall?”

“She’s doing fine, but we’ve agreed to sell the old house and move her into assisted living.  This Sunday, we’re going to go through the house and see what she wants to keep.  I’ll donate the furniture to charity, and get a cleaning crew to dispose of what she’s willing to let go.”

“You’ll be moving then,” Daniel noted.

“Yes, I’ll be looking for a one bedroom bachelor pad to rent.”

“I know that this is a little premature and very presumptuous, but I own a two bedroom house with a convertible den.  I designed it myself.  How’d you like to rent a bedroom from me?  Think of what fun we two bachelors could have living together.”

As he said that, Daniel took Eric’s hand and manipulated it under his bedsheet.  Then he laid it gently on his very hard cock.  Eric smiled and fondled it.

“Tell you what,” Eric said.  “I’ll discharge you late tomorrow afternoon and drive you home so I can see what you’re offering me.”

At the first chance he got, Eric called his grandmother.  “I’ve got a date,” he said.  “I’ll be home late.  Are you going to be all right?”

“Of course, I’ll be fine.  It’s about time you had some social life.  I’ll bet she’s very pretty because you’re so handsome.”

“I assure you, Grandma, my date is gorgeous.  I think it might be serious, and I may be coming home late every day this week.”

“That’s fine.  It’s a good thing I’m moving to a retirement home.”  Millie began to laugh.

*****

They were too old to be coy.  The minute Eric and Daniel entered Daniel’s apartment, they started stripping.  They took a moment to check each other out.  They were both cut.  Eric bragged four and a half flaccid inches.  He was a little bigger than Daniel by a smidgeon, but Daniel was a little heftier, also not by much.  As soon as they exposed themselves, they both erected to about seven inches.

“I’m too hot,” Daniel said.  Let’s shower after the love making.”

Daniel referred to their imminent encounter as love making, not as having sex.  Eric was pleased.  He felt the same way.  They fell on Daniel’s bed in a sixty nine position, and they began to work their magic, but both stopped in time to fuck.  They prepared each other well, and did a lot of rimming before they began to stretch their assholes with their fingers.  They fucked in the missionary position, and then held each other tightly as they reveled in the afterglow.  Suddenly, they both began to cry.  Simultaneously they said, “I love you,” and their fates were sealed.  They made love every single night for the rest of the week.

On Saturday night, Eric said, “I can’t see you tomorrow, Dan.  I’m going through the house to determine what, if anything, Grandma wants to take with her.”

“I’d like to help,” Daniel said.

“That’s not a good idea.  How will I explain you?  If I tell her our true relationship, and that we’re going to live together, I’ll have to come out.  She’ll freak.  I hoped I’d never have to tell her.”

“You’ve got to do it sooner or later,” Daniel said.  “Besides, I want to introduce you to my friends and family as my partner, my lover, my soul mate.  I don’t want people to think we’re merely roommates.  Don’t you want the same thing, honey?”

“Of course I do.  Okay, you can help us on Sunday.  I’ll wait until the end of the day to tell her.  That’ll give you a chance to charm her.  It’ll be easier for me if you’re there.”

“I’ll help you if you falter,” Daniel promised.

What happened Sunday was totally unexpected, and Eric didn’t have to wait until late in the day to come out of the closet.  The deed was done before lunch.

Daniel arrived before breakfast, and Eric introduced him to Millie as his best friend.

“He’s an architect like my dad was,” Eric said.

Millie had prepared a great breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, coffee and sweet rolls.  While they were eating, Eric asked his grandmother, “Where do you think we should start our search?”

“Let’s start in the cellar.  I never go down there so I have no idea what your grandfather might have stored there.  Wouldn’t it be great if we found a valuable artifact?  You read about that happening all the time, and you see it on “Antiques Roadshow.”

“We should be so lucky,” Eric murmured.

After breakfast, Eric turned on the cellar lights, but they didn’t work.  While he held a flashlight, Daniel changed the light bulbs.  “You’re the architect,” Eric laughed.  “Do your thing.”

Eric was shocked when the three of them went into the cellar.  It was practically empty.  Every cellar, garage, and attic he had ever been in was cluttered with years of accumulated “stuff.”

“It doesn’t look like we’ll find a treasure down here,” Daniel said.  “We might as well go upstairs.”

“Wait,” Eric said, “there are lots of nooks and crannies.  Let me give one look before we give up.”

He shined the flashlight into a section of the cellar that had no lights, and then he saw something leaning in a corner of the darkened space.  He walked over to it.

“It looks like a wrapped up mirror or a painting,” Daniel laughed.  “Maybe we just found a Picasso.”

“Fat chance,” Eric said.

He carried the object to the lit side of the basement, and began to unwrap it.  All three gasped at once.  It was a nude photograph of a very handsome young man with an erection of substantial length and girth.

“My God,” Eric said incredulously.  “It looks like Grandpa. Do you know who took this photograph, Grandma?”

“I most certainly do,” Millie managed to stammer out.  She was hyperventilating.  “His name was Philip Merchant.”

“You’re kidding,” Eric said.  “Philip Merchant is, was, a world famous photographer.  This picture might have great value, after all.  How did he come to photograph Grandpa anyway?  Were they friends?”

Suddenly, Millie began to scream.  “Friends, lovers, perverts, faggots, you name it.  I found some love letters, Philip wrote to your grandfather, and I was appalled.”

“Where are the letters?” Eric asked.

“I burned them, just like I’m going to burn this picture.”

Daniel and Eric were dumbstruck by everything Millie had just said.  Daniel grabbed Eric’s hand, subconsciously trying to protect him.

“Please don’t destroy the picture,” Eric begged.  “I’d like to have it.”

“Why in the world would you want this damned piece of smut?  It’s mine and I’ll do what I want with it.”  Eric had never before heard a profane word from his grandmother.  He was totally shocked at her attitude.

“Because,” he said, determined to come out, “now I know why I loved Grandpa so much.  I’m gay, Grandma, and Daniel is my soulmate.  We are going to live together as soon as I vacate this house.

“Get out now, get out now,” Millie shrieked.  “I never want to see your perverted face again.  I didn’t kick your grandfather out because I wanted to avoid a scandal, but I never let him touch me again.  I don’t give a damn about you or a scandal anymore.  My life seems to be cursed by homos all around me.”

When she finished her tirade she ran upstairs.  Eric followed her.

“I’m going to pack my stuff, Grandma.  Between Daniel’s car and mine, we should be out by noon.  If you need help with the sale of the house, packing and moving, just call on me.  You have my cell phone number.  I won’t abandon you just because you hate gays.”

“Just stop talking,” Millie yapped.  “Pack up and get out.  I can’t stand the sight of you two miserable perverts.”

Part Four

The Ending

Eric and Daniel had been living together for six months.  It was a union made in heaven, but true happiness escaped Eric.  He could not get over the hurt his grandmother had caused him.  In one split second she had gone from a loving, doting grandmother to a spiteful bitch, who could not abide his lifestyle.  Every day, he told himself to forget her and move on, but the hurt only got worse.  He now understood why his gay grandfather had hidden himself away in his room all those years.

Unfortunately, he could not get over her.  He kept track of her.  She had sold the house and was living in the senior retirement home.  He was glad that she had weathered the trauma of moving all by herself, but he had no way of knowing if she was happy or not.

One hot Sunday afternoon, a car pulled up in front of Daniel and Eric’s house.  Millicent stepped out.  The driver opened his trunk, and handed her a package which looked like the framed photograph.

The car took off and she rang the bell.  She was glad that Eric answered and not Daniel.  Eric took one look and gasped.  He just stood there looking at his grandmother, unable to move or speak.  Finally, she asked, “Aren’t you going to ask me in?”

“Of course,” he said.

He took the package from her and she followed him into the living room.  He wanted to say facetiously, “To what do I owe the pleasure,” but he couldn’t speak that way to his grandmother.  Instead, he let her do the talking.

“Where’s Daniel?” she asked politely.

“It was such a hot day, we decided to barbecue dinner.  He ran to the store to get some stuff, but he should be home soon.”

“I came to … no … I need to apologize to both of you.  But I also need to explain my terrible behavior.  Let’s wait until he gets here.”

Eric was too overwhelmed to make small talk, so he just asked, “Can I get you something, Grandma?’

“A glass of ice water would be just fine,” she replied.

He handed her the water, and asked, “How did you get here?  Did a friend drive you?”

She started to laugh.  “No, I called for UBER transportation.  You can call me thoroughly modern Millie if you’d like.”  Eric did laugh, just as Daniel came home.  When he saw Millicent, he damn near dropped his packages.

“I have to refrigerate this stuff, and I’ll be right back,” he said.  It sounded like he was saying not to start without him.  When he returned, he got comfortable on an easy chair.  Eric and Millicent sat on the sofa.  Daniel and Eric looked at Millicent with expectation in their eyes.

“Let me start at the beginning,” she said, and both men nodded.  “When I found the love letters Philip had written to your grandfather, I was more than disgusted or upset.  I felt betrayed.  I lashed out at him, just as I did at you two.  He and I agreed that we would continue to live together, in separate rooms, to avoid scandal.  We also didn’t want to traumatize your father, Eric.

“I knew Derek was living a celibate life.  He came home from work every day.  I served him his dinner, and then he disappeared into his room.   The only time he went out is when we went on vacation.  We went together with your father, and then with you, Eric.  We didn’t want anyone to get suspicious.  I was certain that he never tried to contact Philip.

“After a few months, I realized that he was doing penance in his own way.  I did love him, Eric, and I began to wonder if I should forgive him, but I was too stubborn, and I didn’t try to reconcile.  As time passed, I got more and more homophobic.  I would reread the love letters over and over.  I began to realize that Philip really loved Derek, maybe more than I did.”

She reached into her purse, and pulled out a batch of letters.  They were still in the original envelopes.  “I lied to you,” she said.  “I couldn’t destroy them, any more than I could destroy the photograph.  You said you wanted them, Eric, so they’re yours.  Do you think that you and Daniel can ever forgive me?  I didn’t mean any of those nasty things I said.  I just believed that history was repeating itself, and I lost control.  I love you, my darling grandson, and I always will.”

She seemed to be finished talking and the room grew deadly silent.  Once again she reached into her purse and pulled out her cell phone.

“Who are you calling?” Daniel asked.

“I’m calling UBER she said.  I need to get on home.”

“Nonsense,” Daniel said.  “You’ll stay here and have a delicious barbecue dinner with us.  Eric and I will drive you home.”

“Next Sunday,” Eric added, “I’ll pick you up and drive you home at the end of the day.  We’ll do that every Sunday from now on, but sometimes we’ll eat out.  We’re too lazy to cook every Sunday, and we certainly won’t barbecue in the winter.”

Millicent started to weep, and both men embraced her.  She cried harder.

That night, Eric and Daniel began to make love.  Eric was never more impassioned, and Daniel took note of it.

“You’ve always made me a happy camper, sweetheart,” Eric said, “but there was always a big void in my life, and today it got filled.  I’m so happy, and I intend on making you happier than I am.  He leaned over, and took Daniel’s manhood into him.  It was so intense a moment, that now it was Daniel’s turn to cry.

“I love you, Eric,” he kept murmuring over and over, ad infinitum.  “To show you how much, let’s hang the nude photograph of your grandfather in our bedroom.”

Eric was so moved, that his passion expanded.  He brought Daniel to glory quicker than ever before, and Daniel’s orgasm exceeded anything he had ever experienced in the past.
